My husband and I live on a small alpaca farm in Erie, CO in SW Weld County and just 20 miles north of metro-Denver. Our Great Pyrenees (GP) livestock guardian dog (LGD), Ocho, passed away late October 2020 at 11.5 years of age. He worked until the very end and he is dearly missed. We are now training a GP puppy for another alpaca farm and he will go to his new home mid-summer 2021.
We have a small herd of white and beige huacaya alpacas which are bred selectively and thoughtfully to produce amazing fleece. We sell quality raw fiber and rovings for spinning, yarn and custom knit alpaca scarves and shawls. I am a dealer and instructor for Silver Reed Knitting machines and manufacturer of Silver Needles Cone Winders.
And for all your yarn needs, I sell Tamm Yarns to local area knitters- ideal for machine knitting of wash and wear items plus imported Peruvian alpaca yarn. I have large quantities of DK weight white alpaca yarn in 200 yard skeins, ready for dyeing!
Now my newest knitting machine will arrive sometime ... Kniterate (which unfortunately has been significantly delayed due to challenges in 2020.) See www.kniterate.com.
We are blessed with 5 gorgeous acres of Colorado with unobstructed views of the Rockies from Pikes Peak all the way up to the Wyoming border. It's a wonderful story that I'd be happy to share with you.
